Beavercreek HS Air Force JROTC Scholarships

Instructors may award scholarships to OH-20182 Cadets that have been a member of the program for at least two years with a minimum of a 2.5 GPS, a documented record of community service, and being an exemplary cadet in good standing with the Corps.  The first scholarship was awarded to Cadet Emma Morgan in 2021 in the amount of $1,000.

Dayton–Wright Chapter of AFCEA

In partnership with the AFCEA Educational Foundation, presents an average of $35,000 annually in scholarships, grants, and awards to students in K-12 science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and Cyber related programs, ROTC programs, traditional university degree programs, professional development and other educational areas.

Daedalians Flight Training (DFT) scholarship

The purpose of this DFT scholarship program is to motivate students to pursue a career in military aviation.  The scholarship is valued at $4000 – $5000 and covers the costs of ground school, flight materials, and flight instruction through solo flight. 

NOTE: JROTC Instructors aren’t responsible for the opportunities listed below.  However, we’ve had numerous Cadets selected for the opportunities because of their demonstrated work ethic and dependability.

American Legion Buckeye Boys State

An eight-day hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Ohio government.  Founded in 1936, Buckeye Boys State is the largest Boys State program in the nation with an attendance of over 1,200 young men annually, representing nearly 600 Ohio High Schools, several on-line High Schools, and the Home Schooled Community.

Buckeye Girls State

A week-long program designed to educate Ohio’s young women in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of good citizenship.  By getting involved in the process, students learn more about city, county, and state government in one week than they will in an entire semester of high school.

Internships at Wright-Patterson AFB

The Wright Scholar Research Assistant program is an Air Force Research Laboratory initiative designed to expose high school juniors and seniors to various disciplines of engineering and science in an effort to further their interest in future STEM career options.  Wright Scholars are competitively selected to work as full-time, paid interns for 9 weeks during the summer.

Pathways Program is open to high school, college, and grad students and offers federal internship and employment opportunities for current students, recent graduates and those with an advanced degree. The program offers paid opportunities to work in federal agencies and explore federal careers while completing an education. It’s one of many opportunities offered to students each summer. 

Legacy Program is for middle school students through college and their mission to attract, inspire, and develop student awareness and excitement in all fields of STEM, aviation, and aerospace in order to develop our nation’s future scientific and technical workforce to meet future defense technological challenges.
